I'm so glad to publish the first post of my new blog. Actually it's also my first blog ever so the pleasure is doubled!
My blog will be a free space of expression for myself. There is no limit about the content BUT…
…mostly, I'm going to talk about sound.
Why?
Because sound is my passion, in the broadest sense of the term.
The art of sound is the art of modesty.
It seems to me it refers to the most suited sense for making us feel part of a whole.
By overwhelming us, the sound places us in a space, a moment, consisting of an infinite number of elements without which nothing would be.
It makes us conscious of what is.
I will talk about field recording, sound design, music but also some more technical aspects like workflow or DAW features and finally any insights that might seem interesting to me.
Two last words:
I'm not a native English speaker/writer so you are probably going to find some mistakes and I'm sorry about that. I'll try, most of the time, to be helped by relatives.
My last word is a quote I particularly appreciate from Bernie Krause: "A picture is worth a thousand words, a soundscape is worth a thousand pictures."
